Eve is a litigation and dispute resolution solicitor. She advises and represents clients across general civil litigation disputes, estate litigation, and industrial and employment matters, including civil and quasi‑criminal industrial proceedings. She has acted for clients in:

• negligence claims against legal professionals;
• family provision applications;
• unlawful termination disputes;
• defending employers in industrial death cases;
• a class-action appeal in the Fair Work Commission;
• property litigation, including defending constructive trust claims and seeking specific performance of property contracts and/or damages for breach of property contract;
• insurance disputes, including third-party claims; and
• general industrial and employment disputes, including in relation to wage theft, redundancy matters, breach of restraint of trade, workplace enquiries and disciplinary matters, appealing WorkCover Queensland decisions, and contractual disputes.

Eve has been involved in several successful litigation and employment law matters, including:

• obtaining judgment for an employee client to recover all unpaid entitlements, together with an order that the employer pay all of the client’s legal costs to the end of the trial;
• defending a constructive trust claim over a client’s real property, resulting in a settlement under which the client retained ownership of the property;
• securing injunctive relief and damages for a business against a former employee who breached post-employment restraint obligations;
• defending a claim for breach of the Australian Consumer Law and fraud, resulting in dismissal of the claims against the client;
• defending a civil fraud claim against a client, with the matter being settled before pleadings closed;
• acting for employers and employees in general protections and unfair dismissal applications, achieving favourable outcomes for clients.

Eve also acts in matters prior to them reaching court, including the preparation of show cause responses, engaging in negotiations and other settlement processes, and preparing and reviewing pre‑court resolution deeds. Eve always ensures she takes the time to understand her client’s position and objectives so that she can guide them to a commercial outcome.
