He has experience in a wide range of residential and commercial property transactions as well as advising on all aspects of property development and related areas of law including infrastructure delivery and charging, the establishment of body corporate schemes, and development funding arrangements. Patrick also practices in corporate structuring including advising on establishment of partnerships, unitholder agreements and corporate entities.

He has acted for a range of different property developers and has advised on in the initial acquisition of and due diligence for development sites, assistance with development applications, preparation of documentation for registration of lots, and sale of the individual lots. Patrick assisted a developer client with what was, at the time, the largest development in Queensland to be settled through the PEXA (Property Exchange Australia) and continues to be an early adopter of new technology and systems having advised on a number of complex disclosure statements under the new Seller Disclosure Regime. Patrick has overseen large scale development settlements involving over 100 settlements in a day.

Patrick is also experienced in retail and commercial conveyancing and retail and commercial leasing and has experience in the sale and purchase of businesses on both smaller and larger scales from small retail outlets to shopping centres.

Patrick has acted for a number of government departments on acquisitions of sites for education and healthcare.

Patrick has extensive experience in acting for private money lenders including preparation of loan and mortgage documentation through to settlement of loans and post-settlement issues such as default proceedings and mortgagee sales.

Patrick has experience in drafting shareholder, unitholder, and partnership agreements and his experience advising clients across a range of industries (including industries as diverse as tugboat operators, fuel station businesses, and the medical industry) allows him to provide tailored advice to best suit their requirements.
